1.11.1. Forward pillows of safety

THE GENERAL DATA

The pillow of safety 25 (fig. Controls see) for the driver is established in a steering wheel nave, a pillow of safety 14 for the forward passenger – in the panel of devices. In this case on a steering wheel and the panel of devices there are inscriptions Airbag.

Safety pillows are in working order at the included ignition and work at strong front blow.
The prevention
At not fastened seat belts the safety pillow at operation can put a trauma.

After ignition inclusion in a combination of devices the control lamp 18 (fig. the Combination of devices see) lights up for some seconds – the system is supervised automatically.

If in system there is a malfunction:

– The lamp does not light up at ignition inclusion;
– The lamp does not die away in some seconds after ignition inclusion;
– The lamp dies away and again lights up after ignition inclusion;
– The lamp lights up constant or blinking light during movement.

In these cases it is necessary to address immediately on servicing deport as pillows can not work at front blow or, on the contrary, to work at any moment.
The prevention
Service life of pillows of safety of 15 years. After this term of a pillow it is necessary to replace.

It is forbidden to paste over, close or somehow to alter a nave of a steering wheel and a place on the panel of devices where the pillow for the forward passenger is established.

It is authorised to clean installation sites of pillows the rag dry or moistened in water.

Necessarily replace the pillows which have worked as a result of road and transport incident.

Passengers sitting on forward seats are forbidden to hold in a lap children, animals or any subjects (bags, etc.).

In the car switching-off of a pillow of safety for the forward passenger, for example, in case of installation of a children's armchair on a forward seat is provided.

Switching-off and pillow inclusion is spent only at servicing deport.
