5.5. Removal and installation of the water pump on models with petrol engines

THE GENERAL DATA

The water pump of the petrol engine

1 – a belt of a drive of camshafts;
2 – a lining of the water pump;
3 – the water pump;
4 – bolts of the top fastening of a back cover;
5 – a back cover of a belt of a drive of camshafts;
6 – the top cover of a belt of a drive of camshafts; 7 – the bottom cover of a belt of a drive of camshafts;
8 – a bolt of fastening of the bottom cover;
9 – a pulley;
10 – a bolt of fastening of a pulley;
11 – a bolt of fastening of the bottom cover;
12 – a bolt of fastening of a back cover and the water pump;
13 – a pulley of a cranked shaft

At occurrence of a leak from the water pump or damage of its bearings it is necessary to replace the pump.

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove грязезащитный an engine guard.

2. Merge cooling liquid (subsection 5.13 see).

3. Remove a belt of a drive of a camshaft (subsection 2.4.2 see).

4. Turn away three bolts 4 and 12 (fig. the Water pump of the petrol engine) fastenings see and remove a back cover 5 belts of a drive of a camshaft.

5. Cautiously remove the water pump 3 from the engine.

6. Replace a lining 2 pumps new irrespective of its condition.

7. Establish the water pump on the engine with a new lining so that the pump branch pipe has been directed downwards.

8. Establish a back cover 5 belts of a drive of a camshaft and tighten bolts of its fastening.

9. Establish a belt of a drive and adjust its tension.

10. Fill in a liquid in cooling system. The moment of an inhaling of bolts of fastening of the water pump and a back cover of a belt of a drive of a cranked shaft – 15 Нм.
