9.9. A lay brake

9.9.1. Adjustment of a lay brake with back drum-type brakes

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the floor console.
2. Be convinced that the lever of a lay brake has been lowered against the stop downwards.
3. For self-installation of elements of a lay brake some times sharply press a brake pedal, and then three times tighten and lower the lever of a lay brake.
4. Lift the lever on one click (from completely lowered position).
5. Tighten an adjusting nut 3 (fig. the Equalizer of cables of a drive of a lay brake see) until when back wheels can be turned hardly hands. Keep in mind that an adjusting nut самоконтрящаяся, therefore from it some coils of a carving of draught always should act, differently will not be самоконтрящегося effect.
6. Lower the lever of a lay brake against the stop downwards and turn hands back wheels. They should rotate in regular intervals, without jammings.
7. Lift the lever on four clicks. Wheels should not be turned. Otherwise repeat adjustment.
8. Establish the floor console.
